As we celebrate the 2024 International Women's Day, themed "Inspire Inclusion", we are reminded of the impact that advocating for women's inclusion has on shaping a more equitable and empowered society.
In light of this theme, we had the privilege of sitting down with four remarkable women from the MOJO team to delve into their experiences on working in the construction industry.

SHARON HILL – GENERAL MANAGER HUNTER AND MID NORTH COAST

“It is real, ever changing, exciting and challenging – there is something special about starting with a blank piece of dirt and creating a home where families live their lives which motivates me to be the best I can be. Being part of building a home that will still be standing long after I have retired enforces the importance and responsibility of getting it right, a home that is the collector of memories for generations of families”.

ANGELA WORKMAN – HOUSE AND LAND SALES CONSULTANT

“We build homes for people; I feel very honoured to be part of this process. It can be once in a lifetime experience for some people and the dream and excitement is something wonderful to be part of”.

MEGHAN SULLIVAN – STATE CONSTRUCTION COORDINATOR

“Working in the construction industry is challenging and exciting. I find that no two days are the same, I am constantly learning and improving my skill set. I came into the industry from a customer service background without any building knowledge, however a manger here saw something in me, she put faith in me and provided me an opportunity that kick started my career”.

JENNY MCARDLE – INSPIRATION CENTRE MANAGER

My favourite thing about working in the construction industry is being able to be a part of the wonderful journey of creating peoples dream homes. Watching many families walk through the Inspiration Centre and then being able to be a part of the reason many find the house that they will live their life in and call their forever home, is truly one of the best parts of my job.
