The spookiest occasion of the year is right around the corner and we have the perfect list of fun DIY Halloween themed craft ideas suitable for all ages. 

GLOWING JACK O LANTERNS 

These babies will look great lined up on your driveway or as in house decorations.  
All you need:

  • Jar
  • Glow Sticks
  • Sharpie 

What to do:
STEP 1:

Draw a spooky face on your jar

STEP 2:

Crack your glow stick so it glows and then cut it open (Parents we recommend you do this step). Shake the liquid into one of your jars and seal the jar. Turn the jar, allowing the liquid to coat the inside of the jar. It’s important to note most glow sticks only last for roughly 4 hours, so we suggest leaving this till it gets dark. 

SUPER SLIME

All you need:

  • Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)
  •  Borax (Sodium tetraborate)
  • Bowl
  • Food colouring 

What to do:

STEP 1:
Pour ½ cup of the polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution into a bowl. If you want coloured slime, add food colouring to the PVA solution and stir with a stir stick.

STEP 2:
Add 2 teaspoons of the Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) Solution into the PVA solution and stir slowly

STEP 3:
Try lifting some of the solutions with the stir stick and note what happens. Once the slime has formed, you can play with it. Just don’t eat it!
Your slime will last longer if you seal it in a plastic bag and keep it in the fridge.

PUMPKIN PAINTING 

This is fun to do as a group. 
All you need:

  • Pumpkin
  • Paint & Brushes

What to do:
Get creative, your pumpkin just doesn’t have to be your typical orange Halloween pumpkin, be inspired by Monsters Inc. Mike Wazowski, Sesame Streets Cookie Monster or your Favourite Superhero.
